November 2011 - Advanced Sleep Concepts has announced the sale of its retail subsidiary, Mattress Barn, to Glenn Haneberg and Vito Favia, the principals of Back To Bed and The Bedding Experts, two Midwestern bedding chains. Mattress Barn is a 25-store bedding specialty retailer in central Florida. Back To Bed and The Bedding Experts operate stores in Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana. May 2011 - Advanced Sleep Concepts announced the appointment of Dominick Azevedo as President and CEO. The announcement was made following the retirement of Terry Spears, the founder of Spears Mattress. Azevedo most recently was an EVP of merchandising at Mattress Giant. Before that he spent 13 years with Simmons and ended his tenure there as executive vice president of sales. January 2011 – Rylar Innovations Group™ completed a second round of funding with private investors. Rylar is developing an environmentally conscious protective coating for the marine and industrial coatings markets. August 2010 – Criterion Brock has hired Mike D’Adamo as its Chief Executive Officer. Previously, Mr D’Adamo was VP of Sales at HD Supply. Criterion Brock is based in Oregon and is one of the largest installers of flooring products in the multifamily market. Criterion Brock is majority owned by Wedbush Capital Partners.
